Goldleaf
Technologies' Goldleaf Client Has Rapid Client Adoption
Total Automation, Detailed Reporting
and Online Access Position ACH Origination Solution to Lead Industry
in ARC and RCK Check Conversions
BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 29, 2003-- Goldleaf Technologies
Inc., a leading provider of ACH and Web site solutions to community
and regional financial institutions, debuted its browser-based,
financial institution-branded automated clearinghouse file origination
and transmission solution, Goldleaf Client.
The solution significantly reduces the expense of delivering ACH
origination services to commercial customers by eliminating onsite
software installations and updates.
"Although most banks have some level of
ACH and cash management functionality in their core processing
solutions, those applications tend to be very basic and yield
the bare minimum in functionality," said David Peterson,
executive vice president of Goldleaf Technologies. "Goldleaf Client offers a secure, NACHA compliant transaction management
system, including a Transaction Wizard that inputs all transaction
data from a single page. We created this ACH origination solution
with bankers, regulators and commercial customers in mind. The
solution melds complete ACH automation, reporting features and
secure 24-hour online access for business owners."
Commercial customers can easily access Goldleaf Client from a hyperlink within the financial institution's Internet
Cash Management solution or home page. In addition to using the
more cost effective Internet delivery channel, Goldleaf Client
provides greater control of originator functionality for the financial
institution. Goldleaf Client incorporates a fully integrated, industry
standard desktop scanner for electronic check capture and image
storage for accounts receivable/lockbox conversions (ARCs) and
returned check conversion (RCK).
"NACHA's creation of the ARC and RCK transaction
types has radically changed the competitive landscape for electronic
payments," said Paul McCulloch, president of Goldleaf Technologies.
"Even more important than the opportunity for increased fee
income for the bank is the dramatic increase in the number of
competitors for each financial institution's commercial customers.
Many third party vendors are already aggressively marketing these
new transaction types to many banks' most profitable commercial
customers. The Goldleaf Client solution was developed so bankers
can leverage technology for the competitive edge. The Goldleaf
solution positions banks to win--fee income, customer loyalty
and prospective business in their marketplace."
Originators benefit from easy to use MICR data
importing and check imaging to speed collections and eliminate
the handling of paper checks. Financial institutions offering
Goldleaf Client create opportunities to increase non-interest fee
income and enjoy a significant cost advantage over competitors
that are not capable of originating electronic check conversions.
Goldleaf Client includes optional scanning functionality
for the origination of ARC and RCK transactions. This enables
the automated import of transaction data from paper checks into
Goldleaf Client consistent with NACHA requirements. Goldleaf Client
also allows the creation and management of all applicable NACHA
transaction types.
Since making the Goldleaf Client product available
to its current customer base of more than 1,800 institutions in
October 2002, more than 100 of Goldleaf's banking customers have
purchased the solution.
