Community
Educators Credit Union Upgrades to Goldleaf Technology Goldleaf Client; Credit Union Cites Versatility of ACH Solution

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 2003--Goldleaf
Technologies Inc., a leading provider of ACH and Web site solutions
to credit unions and community and regional financial institutions,
announced that the Community Educators Credit Union (CECU), a
30,000 member organization serving central Florida, has upgraded
to Goldleaf's Goldleaf Client product, a browser-based, ACH transaction
management solution.
The credit union has been using Goldleaf's ACH
solution for more than five years, but just recently began migrating
to Goldleaf Client. John Evans, CECU's ACH coordinator, recently
beta tested the software and said the product's versatility and
ease of use sold him on the Web Client solution.
"I have not found any limitations for what
we use the service for," Evans said. He explained that he
can run any report he needs for the credit union's internal processes
and operations and special reports he needs when auditors are
on site.
Evans discovered that there are multiple ways
to find information he needs using Web Client. If there is ever
a discrepancy, he said he has the ability to search for an item
by name, social security number, amount, or date.
In addition to being functional and versatile,
according to Evans the product is also easy to use. "If you
know Internet Explorer, you know how to use this product,"
said Evans, who is in the process of training the more than 20
CECU originators who use the Goldleaf Client solution. "The
drop down menus and easy to understand online help messages contribute
to the product being user friendly."
"One of our objectives is to help clients
like CECU increase member retention and satisfaction, while reducing
back room processing costs," said David Peterson, executive
vice president of Goldleaf Technologies. "Our intention is
to enable our clients to focus on improving the services they
provide and not the software they use."
With the move to Goldleaf Client, two issues the
credit union experienced in the past will be eliminated. First,
Evans will no longer have to devote any of his computer system's
resources to run ACH software or devote time to software installations
and updates. Secondly, Evans will not have to worry about originators
using outdated software or dial-up modems to transfer data because
they will go to the Web and enter their data there.
Goldleaf Client is set up so a credit union's
business members can easily access Goldleaf Client from a hyperlink
within the financial institution's Internet Cash Management solution
or home page.
Evans said that as good as Goldleaf's Goldleaf Client solution is, its customer service is even better. "I
think the people in customer support must have built the software
themselves, because they know how to fix anything that can go
wrong."
