Value-Added Member Services
BRENTWOOD, TN., Feb. 19, 2004. Providing channels for members to operate as viable,
progressive banks and enhancing each franchise's value form the mandate of the
Nebraska Independent Community
Bankers (NICB) association. With its endorsement of and partnership with Goldleaf
Technologies Inc., NICB now provides its members with Web design and hosting
services at more advantageous terms, prices, and conditions than are otherwise
available to the general public. The new partnership with Goldleaf enables members
to capitalize on Goldleaf's knowledge and experience to advance their Inter net

As community bank leaders, NICB began with a complete redesign
of the association's Web site, which has just been completed
and is fully operational (view the results
at www.nicbankers.org or www.nicbonline.com). The previous NICB Web site, designed
and managed by another company, lacked the expertise of the more sophisticated
Web solution Goldleaf offered the association. And, of course, better pricing
was also a big factor. “The former company's pricing for just several of
the features, which we considered requirements, was extremely high. If we stayed
with the current provider, the association would be paying more money for less
functionality,” said NICB Events Director Tracy Pickering. “The decision
to change Web providers was based on Goldleaf's ability to offer numerous design
options, a magnificent content management tool for immediate updates, and user-friendly
navigation tools. An added feature, which was on the “wish” list,
was a members-only section. To our surprise, all our necessities as well as the “wish
list” turned out to be within our budget,” said Pickering .
A provider's ability to supply a product and/or service is one thing; however,
NICB also wanted a strategic partner with a sense of excellence after the sale
of the Web site development. NICB staff members were not disappointed; Goldleaf
delivered genuine expertise throughout the process—true to their reputation

and the prompt response to email communications were phenomenal. I felt confident
with every move I made throughout the entire Web site development,” said
Pickering. Now that the site is up and running, NICB is considering the acquisition
of the Web security monitoring package, wherewith member information is guaranteed
to remain confidential and compliance issues are totally monitored for foolproof
audits.
