Goldleaf Adds Remote Deposit Service to Web-Based Goldleaf Clients
New Service Allows Financial Institutions to Stay Ahead of Competition,
Check 21

Brentwood, TN, August 24, 2004 - Goldleaf Technologies today announced the addition of a Remote Deposit module to its Web-based ACH origination service, Goldleaf Client. "Remote deposit is the biggest marketing opportunity created by the Check 21 legislation. It provides a significant advantage in acquiring new deposit and business customers," said Paul McCulloch, Goldleaf President and CEO. "Regardless of a financial institution's approach to Check 21, they should offer business customers the convenience of remote deposit for their paper checks."

Goldleaf’s Remote Deposit module equips business clientele with the ability to deposit checks remotely without traveling to a financial institution’s branch location. Every day, businesses accept, negotiate, and deposit thousands of paper checks. Check 21 legislation will allow these items to be truncated electronically at the business site, deposited online, and picked up by the financial institution as a ‘Check 21 file’ via Goldleaf Client. The file may then be processed by any image exchange or check processing system.
